Dr. Julian Rode

Senior researcher & Scientific advisor -- Environmental behavior and policy

Contact: julianrode@gmail.com

I have over 20 years of experience in research and 13 years of experience at the interface of academic research and (policy) practice concerning biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

My research deals with environmental values and decision-making, behavior change, the design and evaluation of environmental policies and financing mechanisms, and the integration of sustainability in business practices, mostly related to biodiversity and sustainable land use. My academic background is in (behavioral/experimental) economics and interdisciplinary research on decision making.

In my consulting work I support organizations and projects that aim to establish new policy instruments, financial mechanisms, and business approaches for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
